Anthony Laurie RDT FBIDST FCGI
Anthony Laurie is Eastman trained and the founder of DENTS - Dental Education Nurtured Through Science - an organisation dedicated to the pursuit of professional status for dental technologists. Highly qualified with over twenty-eight years in dental technology, he lectures extensively, both internationally and in the U.K. and is the author of numerous publications.
He is one of only three people in the U.K. to have been conferred Fellowship of the City and Guilds for Dentistry and is also Fellow of the British Institute of Dental and Surgical Technicians. He is current president of the (HTSC) Harley Technicians Study Club and is on the executive board of (BAAD) the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry, and is also on the editorial board of (R&AP) Restorative and Aesthetic Practice and is on the UK Editorial Board of Dental Dialogue. He has recently become a member of the advisory board of the FGDP for Professions Complementary to Dentistry (PCDs).
After many years working in Wimpole Street, Anthony can now be found at his new State of the Art Dental Technology centre - 'DentAL Excellence'. The centre incorporates his specialist restorative laboratory together with the DENTS Training Facility which specialises in continuing postgraduate education for both clinicians and technicians.
The centre closely follows Anthony's personal ethos. It is his firm belief that dental technicians will not attain the recognition and status they profoundly desire unless they substantially change attitudes towards learning. On-going education and interactive discussion have to be the first steps towards the future. His objective is to see dental technology establish its richly deserved status in the twenty first century.

Nita de Peterson
Nita de Peterson joined DentAL Excellence as company manager, organising the education programmes, facility hire and running the day to day business of both DentAL Excellence and DENTS. Nita has nearly twenty years experience working in dentistry.
Until 1996 she worked closely with Dr. John McLean OBE and Mick Kedge as the Executive Administrator for ISDC (International Society for Dental Ceramics). During her time with the society it grew to incorporate members of over thirty countries. Nita was responsible for the running of the society and was best known for the exciting meetings she organised in places such as London, Gothenburg, Bali, USA, Cyprus, Australia and Istanbul.
Both editor and contributor to Excellence magazine, Nita was also involved in establishing the ISDC Young Speaker of the Year Award which brought together young people from all continents, forwarding the careers of many talented technicians, dentists and ceramic scientists.
After the ISDC presidency moved to Dr. Peter Schaerer in Zurich, she moved on to work for 3i Implant Innovations in marketing - again organising the meetings and advertising, eventually becoming assistant UK manager.
Now with DentAL Excellence, Nita is the person to contact for details of the DENTS Training Courses and hire of the facility and is responsible for Dental Dialogue and the Dental Educational books. She is hoping to resurrect the ISDC in the near future.
